Xátiva is a small spot in the mountains; just a 50-minute drive from Valencia. The castle of Xátiva is a famous impressive sight. It is made up of Iberian, Roman and Arabic remains. The castle was built on a strategic high spot and offers a beautiful panoramic view of the town and the surrounding nature. To reach it, one must make some effort as the castle lies 300m high. The path leading there is very beautiful and is definitely worth the effort. If you are not in the mood for a solid walk, there is also a train that goes there. Once you reach the top, there is a charming terrace with a spectacular view where you can enjoy a drink.
